A Grand Day Out

With apologies to Aardman Studios, it was a grand day out today.

Paddington Station and Paddington Bear, sunshine, Oxford and its history and literature and personalities, sunshine, lunch at the storied Eagle and Child pub in the shadow of the former Inklings, sunshine, and my very own pocket 75th anniversary edition of The Hobbit complete with the original cover art, procured on Charing Cross Road . . . in the pouring rain. Ah, England.
